The 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse will be the first production car in the world to feature wheels with Hypetex coloured carbon fibre detailing.

The wheels from Carbon Revolution, which has worked alongside many luxury automotive brands, feature the signature blue carbon fibre which is in keeping with the blue accents on the car’s interior and exterior.

The five-spoke, 19-inch wheels are 37% lighter than their aluminium counterpart, weighing just 20.1 lbs each and had to pass Ford’s extensive and stringent series of over 200 structural and environmental tests.

Chapel 2×2 260gsm 3K Twill material, created in collaboration with Sigmatex UK, was used within the Carbon Revolution design, whose Diamond Weave Technology ensures a perfect carbon weave is visible on the surface. Hypetex’s paint-replacement technology also retains the visible weave, allowing for a bold design without any technical compromise.
