In association with adidas and Marque Makers, Hypetex materials were used to create the world’s most powerful hockey stick – the Kromaskin.

When the Kromaskin was tested at the Sports Technology Institute Loughborough against eight other premium sticks, it had up to 16% higher coefficient of restitution, with a 70% reduction in variation giving it a more consistent, faster hit.

A unique coloured spread tow outer layer not only reduced fibre damage but also increased performance. Ultra-thin carbon tapes were used rather than conventional carbon ply structures. These are woven into tightly packed uniform fibres to reduce voids and carbon defects. Preform core technology was developed for this project, giving players more agility on the field.
