Hypetex to Star at LA Design Show

Hypetex, the world’s first coloured carbon fibre brand, has been chosen to appear in a curated display at America’s largest design event, Dwell on Design.

Dwell selected Hypetex, a new material created by engineers from Formula One racing, to appear in the Porsche Materials Pavilion. On display will be its award-winning Halo chair, designed by Michael Sodeau to demonstrate the qualities of Hypetex, which is lightweight, strong and visually dynamic.

Dwell on Design 2015 is the largest design event in America, featuring 2,000 products from 400 exhibitors over the three-day programme.

Madison Shoop, Dwell’s VP Marketing, said: “The Porsche Materials Lab at Dwell on Design is an exploration of how amazing materials are often the cornerstone of modern design. We are thrilled to be featuring the Hypetex Halo Chair as an example of carbon fibre.”
